      Billecart-Salmon

      Founded in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ in 1818 with the marriage of Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon, Billecart-Salmon remains one of Champagne's great independent family Houses. More than two centuries later, the family continues to guide the Maison, with the seventh generation now involved in carrying forward the legacy established by its founders.

      That continuity has allowed Billecart-Salmon to develop a remarkably consistent identity. Rather than pursuing power or overt richness, the House has become known for Champagnes of precision, freshness and understated elegance, shaped by meticulous winemaking and long maturation in its historic cellars.

      Its range extends from the signature Brut Réserve and celebrated Brut Rosé to vintage and prestige cuvées including Nicolas François, Elisabeth Salmon and Louis Salmon. Different in composition and character, each reflects the same restrained house style: fine structure, purity of fruit and an emphasis on balance over excess.

      More than 200 years after its foundation, Billecart-Salmon remains family-led and firmly rooted in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, combining generations of accumulated knowledge with a willingness to continually refine how Champagne is made.
