The right glassware can change how a wine or spirit presents, from the concentration of aroma at the rim to the way the liquid moves across the palate.
Our Glassware & Barware collection brings together specialist stemware, whisky and spirits glasses, decanters, sake vessels and practical bar accessories from established glassmakers, designers and craftspeople.
The range spans Zalto, Gabriel-Glas, Josephinenhütte, MARKTHOMAS, Sophienwald, Sydonios, PLUMM, Riedel and Glencairn, alongside Japanese sake ware from Nousaku and Matsuda Mitsuhiro and a broad selection of decanters, preservation tools and serving accessories.
Wine Glassware
Wine glass design influences the space available for aromas to develop and how those aromas are directed towards the nose.
The collection includes both universal wine glasses designed to work across several wine styles and more specialised shapes for Bordeaux, Burgundy, white wine, Champagne and sweet wine.
Zalto offers one of the broadest ranges, including Universal, Bordeaux, Burgundy, White Wine, Champagne, Balance, Gravitas Omega and Sweet Wine glasses.
Other important collections include Gabriel-Glas StandArt and Gold Edition, Josephinenhütte Josephine, MARKTHOMAS Double Bend, Sophienwald Phoenix, Sydonios, Jancis Robinson x Richard Brendon, Lehmann and PLUMM.
Universal vs Varietal-Specific Wine Glasses
A universal wine glass is designed to perform across a broad range of red, white and sometimes sparkling wines. It can be particularly useful when building a smaller glassware collection or when one consistent stem is preferred at the table.
More specialised glasses use differences in bowl volume, width, taper and rim diameter to suit particular wine styles.
Large Bordeaux-style glasses provide space for structured Cabernet and other full-bodied reds, while broader Burgundy shapes are commonly used for Pinot Noir and aromatic wines. Smaller white wine glasses can help retain freshness and aromatic focus.
Neither approach is inherently better. The choice depends on how broadly you drink and how specialised you want your glassware collection to become.
Champagne & Sparkling Wine Glasses
Modern Champagne glassware extends well beyond the traditional narrow flute.
Tulip and wine-glass-inspired shapes provide greater bowl volume, allowing more room for Champagne's aromas to develop while retaining a narrower opening than many conventional wine glasses.
The collection includes Zalto Champagne, Josephinenhütte Josephine No. 4, MARKTHOMAS No2140 Double Bend Champagne, Sophienwald Phoenix Champagne and Perlage, Glasvin Champagne and PLUMM sparkling wine glasses, alongside selected Champagne-house glassware.
Traditional coupes are also represented through ranges such as Zalto and Sophienwald.
Whisky & Spirits Glassware
Spirits glassware ranges from dedicated tasting vessels to rocks glasses, tumblers and specialist glasses for whisky, Bourbon, Tequila and digestifs.
Glencairn forms an important part of the collection, with its Original Crystal Whisky Glass available individually and in presentation sets, alongside Cut Tartan, Bothwell, Wee and Mixer variations.
The range also includes glassware associated with producers including The Dalmore, Glenmorangie, Talisker, Glenfiddich, Hibiki and Don Julio, as well as specialist Bourbon and digestif glasses.
Sake Cups, Carafes & Japanese Sake Ware
Sake has its own traditions of serving vessels, ranging from small cups to pitchers and carafes made from glass, ceramic and metal.
The collection includes Nousaku sake cups and pitchers made in Japan, including individual cups and complete sake sets, alongside ceramic Guinomi cups and Katakuchi serving vessels by Matsuda Mitsuhiro.
These pieces offer a different approach to drinks service, where material, form and Japanese craft traditions become part of the experience.
Wine Decanters & Carafes
Decanting can serve two distinct purposes: exposing a young wine to air or carefully separating an older wine from sediment.
The range includes decanters from Zalto, Josephinenhütte, Jancis Robinson x Richard Brendon, Gabriel-Glas, Sophienwald, Sydonios, PLUMM and Riedel, alongside hand-blown pieces from Australian glass artist Brian Hirst.
Shapes range from functional bottle decanters and carafes to larger-format and sculptural designs.
Barware, Preservation & Serving
Beyond glassware, the collection includes tools for opening, preserving, preparing and serving wine, Champagne and cocktails.
Look for Repour wine stoppers, Winesave, corkscrews, Champagne stoppers, cocktail shakers, muddlers and mixing tools, alongside ice buckets and bottle chillers from Champagne houses including Laurent-Perrier, Billecart-Salmon and Bollinger.
Care accessories including PLUMM polishing cloths and decanter beads are also available for maintaining fine glassware.
Choosing Glassware
If you're building a wine glass collection from the beginning, a quality universal glass is the most versatile starting point.
Regular Pinot Noir and Burgundy drinkers may benefit from adding a larger Burgundy-style bowl, while Cabernet, Bordeaux blends and structured reds can warrant a dedicated Bordeaux glass. Champagne drinkers can consider a tulip-shaped Champagne glass rather than relying exclusively on a narrow flute.
For whisky, a tulip-shaped tasting glass such as the Glencairn concentrates aroma and is particularly useful for tasting neat spirits, while a tumbler or rocks glass provides greater versatility for ice and mixed drinks.
