Louis Roederer has been family-owned and independent since 1833, when Louis Roederer inherited the house and gave it his name. Rather than relying solely on purchased fruit, he began acquiring vineyards across Champagne, establishing an approach to estate ownership that continues to shape the house today.
Nearly two centuries later, Louis Roederer remains closely connected to its vineyards. Its range moves from the multi-vintage Collection series through vintage Champagne, Rosé and Blanc de Blancs to Cristal, with individual sites, reserve wines and long maturation increasingly defining the character of each cuvée.
An Independent Champagne House
Louis Roederer's history stretches back to 1776, but its modern identity began with Louis Roederer in 1833.
His decision to acquire and cultivate vineyards was significant. It gave the house greater control over the fruit entering its wines and established the vineyard-led philosophy that remains fundamental to Roederer.
Today, the house works with vineyards across some of Champagne's most important terroirs, particularly in the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay playing central roles across the range.
The Collection Series
The Collection series represents Louis Roederer's contemporary approach to multi-vintage Champagne.
Introduced as the successor to Brut Premier, each Collection is built around a particular harvest rather than aiming to reproduce exactly the same blend year after year. Reserve wines from previous vintages, including wines held in the house's perpetual reserve, add depth and continuity.
The number identifies the blend rather than a vintage. Collection 246, for example, is the 246th blend created by the house since its foundation.
Our range spans several Collection releases and formats, including standard bottles, magnums, larger formats and selected gift presentations.
Louis Roederer Vintage, Rosé & Blanc de Blancs
In years that Roederer considers particularly suited to vintage expression, the house produces a series of Champagnes that bring vineyard and vintage more clearly into focus.
Louis Roederer Vintage places particular emphasis on Pinot Noir, while Louis Roederer Rosé brings together Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in a more delicate expression of the house style.
Blanc de Blancs, produced entirely from Chardonnay, turns the focus to the Côte des Blancs and provides one of the clearest contrasts within the Roederer range.
Together, these wines move beyond the broader composition of Collection and towards more specific expressions of grape, place and year.
Brut Nature by Philippe Starck
Louis Roederer's Brut Nature project was created in collaboration with designer Philippe Starck.
The wines originate from a specific estate site and are made only in years suited to the project's dry, precise style. Produced without dosage, Brut Nature presents a deliberately different expression of Roederer, built around ripeness, freshness and the character of the vintage rather than added sweetness at disgorgement.
Our collection includes both Brut Nature and Brut Nature Rosé, alongside releases from multiple vintages.
Cristal
Created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia, Cristal has become the defining prestige cuvée of Louis Roederer.
Produced only in selected years, Cristal is based on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from estate vineyards and is shaped by extended ageing in the Roederer cellars.
Despite its history and collectability, Cristal remains closely connected to the broader Roederer philosophy: vineyard ownership, careful selection and an increasing focus on the individual character of the house's finest sites.

Cristal Rosé & Vinothèque
At the rarer end of the Louis Roederer collection sit Cristal Rosé and Cristal Vinothèque.
Cristal Rosé was first created in 1974 and is produced in particularly limited quantities, bringing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay together in one of the house's most sought-after wines.
Cristal Vinothèque takes selected vintages through an extended programme of ageing in the Roederer cellars before release, offering a different perspective on Cristal after considerably more time on its lees and in bottle.
These releases sit naturally within the collectable side of the KSC Champagne range, alongside older vintages and large-format Cristal.
Hommage à Camille
Louis Roederer's work in Champagne also extends beyond sparkling wine.
The Hommage à Camille project is dedicated to still wines under the Coteaux Champenois appellation and takes its name from Camille Olry-Roederer, an important figure in the family's history.
Our collection includes Volibarts, a Coteaux Champenois Blanc, and Charmont, a Coteaux Champenois Rouge. Together they offer a rare opportunity to see Roederer's vineyard philosophy expressed without the secondary fermentation and extended lees ageing that define Champagne.
Louis Roederer in Large Format
Our Louis Roederer collection extends well beyond the traditional 750ml bottle.
Selected wines are available in half bottles, magnums and larger formats, including Collection, Vintage, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs and Cristal.
