Hibiki Blossom Harmony Japanese Whisky 700ml (Limited Release 2025)

Harmony is fundamental to Hibiki. Rather than allowing one distillery, cask or flavour to dominate, its blenders work with a diverse palette of malt and grain whiskies from Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita, bringing individual components together to create depth, balance and continuity.

This approach is deeply connected to the Japanese concept of wa, or harmony. Each component has its own character, but the purpose of blending is to find the point at which those differences become more expressive together. Whiskies matured in a range of casks, including American oak, Spanish oak and Japanese Mizunara, provide further layers of aroma, texture and complexity.

Nature is another recurring influence. Hibiki takes inspiration from Japan’s traditional calendar of 24 seasonal divisions, reflecting a culture closely attuned to subtle changes in the natural world. The idea appears most visibly in Hibiki’s 24-faceted bottle, but also speaks to Suntory’s broader understanding of whisky as something shaped by water, wood, climate and time.

The result is a style defined by restraint and precision. Hibiki is not about the loudest individual note, but the resonance created when many elements are brought into balance.
