A precise, medium-sweet expression of cool-climate Tasmanian Riesling, Frogmore Creek FGR Riesling 2021 captures the purity and tension that define the Coal River Valley. Named for its forty-eight grams per litre of residual sugar, “FGR” is both a stylistic marker and a technical cue, signalling finesse over indulgence. Produced from estate-grown fruit, the wine is fermented slowly at cool temperatures and matured on lees for eight weeks to retain vibrancy and build mid-palate texture.

The 2021 season in Tasmania was defined by cool days, mild evenings and a long, even ripening window, ideal conditions for Riesling. Low yields and slow sugar accumulation allowed extended hang time, delivering fruit with pronounced aromatic lift and high natural acidity. The final wine sits at 10.8% alcohol, with pH at 2.80 and 8.45 g/L total acidity, offering a crisp frame to support its gently sweet palate. Expect a poised, low-alcohol white with citrus sorbet, florals and stone fruit, suited to dishes with subtle heat or a touch of sweetness.
