      Rich, smooth and deeply Tasmanian, this fortified Pinot Noir reveals the patience and craft of Frogmore Creek’s solera ageing. The Fortified Ruby Pinot Noir NV is made entirely from estate-grown Pinot Noir in the Coal River Valley, Tasmania. This cool-climate region provides fruit with natural acidity and fine tannin structure, giving balance to the wine’s generous sweetness. Frogmore Creek has refined the art of fortification with this long-matured Ruby style, capturing the intensity of Pinot Noir through slow development in seasoned oak.

      Each small batch begins with hand-harvested fruit given a 48-hour cold soak before open-vat fermentation, hand-plunged for gentle extraction. Once the desired sugar and flavour levels are reached, fermentation is arrested with premium brandy spirit, locking in the wine’s ripe fruit character. The fortified wine then matures in a solera system spanning a decade, layering complexity and consistency from one vintage to the next.

      The result is a dark, silken fortified that opens with aromas of berry conserve, orange peel and spice. The palate is full yet poised, unfolding flavours of black fruit, toffee, and roasted nuts lifted by fresh acidity. A Tasmanian interpretation of a classic style and crafted with precision, patience, and respect for fruit purity.
