Product Description:
Bright, finely etched and unmistakably Tasmanian. The 42 Degrees South Chardonnay 2025 is crafted by Frogmore Creek, a leading cool-climate producer based in the Coal River Valley. Named for Tasmania’s central latitude, the 42 Degrees South label captures the island’s long daylight hours, pristine air and maritime influence. The 2025 season delivered an ideal balance of warmth and cool nights, producing fruit of clarity, freshness and natural poise.
Hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes were gently pressed, cold-settled overnight and fermented at around sixteen degrees to preserve aromatics. Post-ferment, the wine was racked from lees and bottled early to retain brightness and texture. The result is a medium-bodied, fruit-driven expression with cool-climate vitality and precision. Stone fruit, citrus and soft fig notes flow through a pure, mineral finish that speaks clearly of Tasmania’s southern vineyards.
