Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, widely known as DRC, occupies a singular place in the world of fine wine. Based in Vosne-Romanée, in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, the domaine produces some of the world's most sought-after wines from a collection of exceptional Grand Cru vineyards.
With a history deeply connected to the vineyards of Burgundy, DRC is renowned for its meticulous viticulture, exceptionally low yields and unwavering commitment to expressing the character of each individual site. Its wines are celebrated for their complexity, finesse and remarkable ageing potential, with production naturally limited by the small size of its vineyard holdings.
Our collection includes selected 2022 and 2023 vintages of La Tâche, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Grands-Échézeaux, Échézeaux and Corton-Charlemagne.
The Grand Cru Vineyards of Vosne-Romanée
At the heart of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are the celebrated Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte de Nuits, where Pinot Noir reaches some of its most extraordinary expressions.
La Tâche, a monopole owned entirely by the domaine, is renowned for its remarkable depth, aromatic complexity and structure. Romanée-Saint-Vivant offers a different expression of Vosne-Romanée, often characterised by its perfume, elegance and finely detailed texture.
Further north, Grands-Échézeaux and Échézeaux reveal distinct interpretations of the Côte de Nuits, each shaped by its individual soils, exposures and vineyard character.
Together, these wines demonstrate the remarkable diversity of Pinot Noir within a relatively small area of Burgundy.
Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
While DRC is most closely associated with Pinot Noir, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru represents an important expression of the domaine's white Burgundy.
Produced from Chardonnay grown on the celebrated Hill of Corton in the Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne combines the richness and concentration associated with this historic Grand Cru appellation with mineral definition and freshness.
It offers a distinctive perspective on Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, extending the domaine's approach to vineyard expression beyond the red wines of the Côte de Nuits.
The 2022 & 2023 Vintages
Our collection brings together selected releases from 2022 and 2023, offering an opportunity to explore two consecutive Burgundy vintages across the domaine's Grand Cru vineyards.
Each vintage reflects its own growing conditions, while the individual vineyards retain the characteristics that have established their reputations over generations.
For collectors and Burgundy enthusiasts, comparing vintages across La Tâche, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Grands-Échézeaux, Échézeaux and Corton-Charlemagne offers a fascinating perspective on the relationship between vineyard, season and winemaking.
