Aside from the value on offer, magnums age more slowly and gracefully, as well as being the ultimatum party stopper. 2018 Woodcutters Shiraz is unmistakably Barossa delivering an assemblage of dark plum, crushed blackberry, liquorice and blueberry scents which are trailed by inky vanillin cedar and spicy earth notes. Dense, rich and opulent in its texture, the palate is drenched with succulent dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruit which is underpinned by elements of vanillin cedar, inky earth, traces of fennel and spicy pepper. Yum.
