Talisker 15 Year Old Scotch Whisky Special Release 2019

This is the first-ever release of "The King o' Drinks" as a 15 years old whisky matured only in freshly charred American oak hogsheads. They have imbued the sweetness, depth of taste and complexity of the mature distillery character with a fresh intensity. 

This whisky has aromas of maritimes with hints of dry seaweed, sea salt, peeling boat varnish and warm sand, all atop a base of smouldering peat. Very malty and spicy with honey and smoke. The first taste is unexpectedly reach and sweet before the spiciness asserts itself with a slight pinch of salt. AS you swallow there is the trademark chilli, while the pepperiness on the palate comes across in complex waves of drying spiciness. All of these tastes are enhances with a little water, increasingly more round, sweet, and spicier. 

Talisker has been a part of the life n the shores of Skye since 1830 and today it is the island's oldest working distillery.
