The domaine traces its roots back to Sylvain Cathiard’s grandfather, who founded the estate in the 1930s, with Sylvain’s father, André, expanding it further. In 1985, Sylvain took over the domaine, followed by the addition of his son, Sebastien, in 2006. Today, Sebastien runs the domaine, having built upon the legacy of his forefathers, and brings a fresh perspective that has elevated the domaine’s wines to global recognition. The estate spans 5 hectares across Burgundy’s most prestigious appellations, including Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, and a small parcel in Romanée-St-Vivant, one of Burgundy's rarest Grand Cru sites.
Sebastien and his wife, along with a small dedicated team, carry out all vineyard work with meticulous care.
