Aged 17 years, refined by nature and time.
Sullivans Cove Old & Rare TD0129 is a 17-year-old single malt drawn from a single American oak cask previously used to mature Sullivans Cove whisky—showcasing the subtle complexity and aged grace that defines the distillery’s most exclusive series. Distilled using 100% Tasmanian malted barley and double distilled in Myrtle, the house’s custom-built pot still, this is whisky shaped by place, patience, and precision.
The American oak ex-bourbon cask imparts a polished warmth—vanilla, stone fruit and gentle spice—while Tasmania’s cool maritime climate slows maturation, allowing deeper integration and texture over nearly two decades. Every cask in the Old & Rare collection is hand-selected and bottled only when it reaches peak maturity, making each release a singular, irreplaceable moment in time.
With only a few hundred bottles ever released, TD0129 is a collector’s dram and a meditation on what makes Sullivans Cove world-class.

Founded in 1994 in Hobart, Tasmania, Sullivans Cove Distillery has established itself as a pioneer in the world of single malt whisky. With a focus on creating the finest expressions of Tasmanian whisky, Sullivans Cove has garnered global recognition, including being named World’s Best Whisky three times in 2014, 2018, and 2019. The distillery's success lies in its dedication to small-batch production, using only 100% Tasmanian ingredients and traditional distilling methods.
Operating in one of the most pristine environments for whisky production, Sullivans Cove distillery uses the region’s pure, clean water and fertile barley-growing land to craft its exceptional whiskies. From the unique Tasmanian-built pot still known as "Myrtle" to the bespoke barrel maturation process, every aspect of Sullivans Cove’s production reflects the distillery’s commitment to excellence.
Sullivans Cove is rooted in the belief that whisky should never be rushed. With each cask nurtured to its natural peak, the distillery's philosophy embraces patience, precision, and quality. By using only the finest Tasmanian malted barley and pure local water, Sullivans Cove produces a whisky that is unique to its environment.
The distillery’s commitment to producing world-class whiskies is reflected in its small-batch, single cask approach, where no two batches are the same. This dedication to craftsmanship, paired with the natural elements of Tasmania, allows Sullivans Cove to create whiskies with unparalleled depth and character. Their focus on minimal intervention and maximum expression means each bottle tells a story of its own, embodying the subtleties and complexities of its unique terroir.
