    Stargazer is a boutique, premium producer of some of the most exciting wines coming from Tasmania, predominantly from the Coal River Valley in the southern part of the Island where the range focuses on Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

    This wine teeters on the brink between ‘dry’ and ‘off dry’, but simply put it’s just superbly balanced in terms of acid and fruit/RS. All the grapes are sourced from a single vineyard in the Tea Tree subregion of Coal River, planted in 2004 at a vineyard density 5000 vines per hectare. Soil type as  described by Samantha is predominantly dark clay on Jurassic dolerite.

    Stargazer Single Vineyard Riesling 2022 vintage is a very pale yellow colour with green hints. The nose is lifted and floral, displaying waxy white flowers, together with bath salts and talcum powder. In the background is pink grapefruit and kaffir lime leaf spiciness. The shimmering acidity provides structure, drive and backbone to the palate, while the tangy exit is balanced with a judicious lick of residual sugar.
