Skinos Mastiha Spirit 200ml

Ancient Greeks knew it as a cure for bellyaches. Roman emperors used to spice their wine with it. Ancient Turks chewed it for fresh breath and fighting boredom. Made from the very essence of Greek summer, Skinos is the authentic premium Greek spirit crafted from the mastiha tree, found only in one place on Earth: the Skinos Island, from the small Mediterranean island of Chios.

The mastiha tree is tapped, the resin is collected and dried until hard. It's then mixed with alcohol and distilled to extract the flavour, and finally sweetened and adjusted to bottling strength of 30% abv. 

Skinos Mastiha spirit conjures aromas of the Mediterranean hillside covered with wild herbs like crushed juniper and freshly cut mint leaves, like aromas of rain soaked cedarwood and violets. It's slightly sweet yet fresh, with delicate flavour and balance that makes it extremely versatile. It can be served neat, chilled, as an aperitif or digestif, or used in cocktails and even as a flavour enhancer in the kitchen giving a distinct Mediterranean touch.

Nose - Aromatic, Alpine, Resinous
