Product Description:
Refined structure and quiet intensity define this flagship Pinot Noir from one of Tasmania’s most respected family producers. The Pooley Jack Denis Pooley Pinot Noir 2023 is sourced from the estate’s most mature vineyard parcels in the Coal River Valley, selected for their ability to deliver depth, balance and longevity. The wine reflects a cool growing season that favoured slow, even ripening, resulting in purity of fruit and finely tuned natural acidity. Winemaking is precise and restrained, with careful extraction and sensitive use of oak to frame rather than dominate the wine’s character. In the glass, it shows composure and clarity, where red fruit, savoury nuance and mineral elements are held in harmonious tension. The palate reveals layered complexity, built on fine tannins and seamless integration rather than overt power. This is a Pinot Noir that speaks clearly of site and season, offering both immediacy and underlying structure. Designed to age gracefully, it rewards patience while remaining compelling in its youth, making it equally suited to the cellar or the table.
