      Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth 2016 vintage is a dark inky red colour with a scarlet rim. The nose has aromas of dark chocolate, cassis, and cigar box. Vibrant and complex notes of dried herbs, earthy tones, and plush black fruits. A fine, sandy tannin with seamless pure mouthfeel. Creamed honey notes and pure, bright fruit with a balanced acidity gliding through mid-palate fruit sweetness.

      A cabernet with a lengthy history of excellence. It is from a single vineyard planted in '85. The vines are fully mature, and the blackcurrant fruit revels in the generous proportion of new French oak allocated to it every year. - James Halliday Wine Companion 2021, 96 Points
