Nousaku Gold Sake Cup 80ml
In 1916, Nousaku began manufacturing Buddhist ritual objects, Japanese tea sets and vases made of brass and bronze in Takaoka, Japan. Whilst these items have a simple appearance, the process that goes into manufacturing these pieces often requires many steps. As an example, the fine appearance of their tableware items is due to the advanced advanced casting
and refined finishing techniques of master craftsmen.
These Sake Cups are produced using pure tin. It is common to add other metallic materials to provide durability and facilitate cutting work, but Nousaku uses tin without any additives. Accumulated experience of skilled craftsmen enables them to produce these unique pieces. This item is also has a special finishing. The inside of the cup is gilded. It is a collaborative manufacturing between craftsmen of gold leaf at Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture.
