Murdoch Hill Artisan Series The Rocket Chardonnay 2021

Murdoch Hills vineyard and winery are located behind the township of Oakbank in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. They have been farming there since 1939, with four Generations of family caring for this land. They established their vineyard and started producing wines in 1998.

The Rocket producing smaller bunches with thicker skins. This, in turn, gifts a wine with more power and drive, often with a faint phenolic line.  

A chardonnay of striking depth and elegance, this has tension. Purity of fruit and complexity, too. Really something. There are wet-stone minerals and flint, together with lemon, yellow-grapefruit and subtle, creamy spice notes. The palate has such refined and elegantly powerful style with a flush of bright acidity driving the long, fresh finish.
