The Millton Te Arai Chenin Blanc 2022 embodies the Millton family's passion and commitment to producing world-class wines from one of the world’s most celebrated varieties. In 2022, the vineyard team selected the finest fruit through four meticulous hand harvests, ensuring that only the best quality grapes made it into the wine. The grapes undergo a slow, gentle press cycle to extract the juice, with the stems discarded as the juice is released with ease. The juice is allowed a brief settling period to retain fine sediments, which are vital for fermentation. Fermented and matured in a combination of large 600-litre oak barrels (demi-muids) and stainless steel tanks, this Chenin Blanc matures gracefully, allowing the pure expression of the fruit to shine without the intrusion of heavy oak tannins.
