      The Yarra Valley range from Mac Forbes is the entry into their range of regional varieties. They represent a snapshot from across the valley and their vineyards. 

      For the 2021 vintage of the Syrah, the fruit was pad picked. 50% whole bunch carbonic maceration, 50% destemmed. Spent 18 days on skins and matured for 9 months in small format old oak. This wines little funky on the nose initially. Medium ruby and with a little purple edge in the glass. Perfumed, seductive nose, measured whole bunch (dried herb, menthol), red florals (rose), cranberry, lots of fresh raspberry, a little blueberry a little earthy.

      Enjoy young but will be rewarded with increased complexity from time in a cellar.
