Built on tsikoudia—the island’s grape pomace spirit—it is softened with water, enriched with local honey, and infused with spice before resting unfiltered for ten days. The result is a golden liqueur carrying both the warmth of the Mediterranean and the soul of Cretan hospitality.

      Founded in 2000 by the Diamantakis and Stamatakis families, DS Distillers have grown into one of Crete’s most respected producers, blending modern technique with generations of knowledge. Their vineyards and close ties with growers ensure exceptional fruit, which underpins all their work. Kretaraki Meli remains their most recognised expression, a drink for sharing, for toasting tradition, and for discovering the richness of Crete’s distilling heritage.
