Originally released in 2008, then discontinued in 2009, the Isle of Jura 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was re-released in 2010 for the 200th anniversary of the distillery. This whisky was matured in ex-Bourbon barrels and finished in vintage 1963 oloroso sherry casks.
The nose on this whisky is full and fragrant. There are notes of fudge and toffee, with hints of vanilla and sweet nuts. There is a slight honey note with tones of port and Tokaji. The palate is has flavours of damson jam, marzipan. The finish has a medium-length with notes of chewy oaky tannins.
