The Husk Distiller 1866 Tumblugum Rum is a blend of four barrels of paddock to bottle rum laid down in 2013 ? two American Oak and two ex-Bourbon barrels.
This 500ml bottle of 1866 Tumby Rum is being released to commemorate the 150th anniversary of our small village, Tumbulgum, in Northern NSW. Bold and round nose of caramel, treacle, toasted oak and bourbon vanilla followed by some elegant and subtle notes of sugar cane and citrus peel. Semi-dry and smooth mouthfeel with brown sugar, caramel, oak and creamy vanilla that reaffirm the nose. Subtle hints of coffee and dark chocolate. The brown sugar and the oak remain for a long time as well as sweet sugar cane flavours. The rum leaves a rich and warm feeling in the mouth.
