Howard Park Great Southern Riesling 2007
Howard Park has been making Rieslings since the company’s establishment in 1986. Since then, it has made a remarkably consistent line of Rieslings, through 4 winemakers and changes in the vineyard composition. All Rieslings have the Great Southern region as their source; however, there’s been a shift towards the eastern borders of the region, centred around Mount Barker.
Howard Park Great Southern Riesling 2007 museum release comes directly from the Howard Park cellar, and is a stunning example of how beautifully Australian Riesling can age. Due to the high acidity and lower alcohol than many Clare Valley Rieslings, this wine is drinking beautifully right now with a palate of lime, grapefruit and some tropical fruits with vibrant acidity on the finish.
