Founded in 2013 by three friends with a shared passion for exceptional spirits, Four Pillars has risen from humble beginnings to become one of the world’s most celebrated gin producers. What started with a single copper still, lovingly named Wilma, has since grown into a global success story. Based in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Australia, Four Pillars has made a name for itself by blending craft, creativity, and a deep respect for quality ingredients.
In just a few short years, Four Pillars was recognised on the world stage, being named the World’s Leading Gin Producer at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) in London. Remarkably, they claimed this coveted title three times—in 2019, 2020, and again in 2023—an unprecedented achievement in the world of gin.
What sets Four Pillars apart is not just their award-winning gin, but their dedication to craftsmanship and innovation. Their distillation journey began with the delivery of their first custom-built still, Wilma, handcrafted by CARL of Germany. Over time, Wilma was joined by five other stills—Jude, Eileen, Beth, Coral, and Linda—all named after the mothers of founders and longstanding team members, reflecting the family values that run deep in the brand’s DNA.
Four Pillars is proud to call Australia home, a land known for its diversity and creativity, and this is reflected in every bottle they produce. The distillery is known for using fresh, whole citrus in each gin, and they embrace native Australian botanicals like lemon myrtle and Tasmanian pepperberry to create truly unique flavours.
The team at Four Pillars approaches gin-making with intense creativity, always pushing boundaries while maintaining a passion for hospitality and ‘gin-fuelled fun.’ From their iconic Rare Dry Gin to innovative releases like Bloody Shiraz Gin and Olive Leaf Gin, Four Pillars continues to craft the most delicious and awarded gins in the world, putting Australian gin firmly on the global map.
