Structure, depth and quiet intensity define this commanding Central Otago Pinot Noir, presented in the 1.5L Magnum format. Sourced from the north-facing Block 3 parcel within The Elms Vineyard, this site is known for producing some of Felton Road’s most powerful and ageworthy wines. Schist-based soils with loess and gravel overlays contribute natural concentration, mineral drive and firm structure.
The 2024 vintage shows a composed yet assertive profile, with dark berry and black cherry fruit framed by savoury and earthy nuance. Biodynamic farming, indigenous fermentation and gentle extraction preserve clarity and balance, while carefully integrated oak adds subtle spice without obscuring site expression. Fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity shape a tightly wound core built for longevity.
In Magnum, the wine gains additional freshness and slow, graceful evolution, reinforcing its suitability for extended cellaring. This is a Pinot Noir of authority and poise, capturing both the power of its site and the precision that defines Felton Road’s style.

Felton Road is a benchmark producer from Central Otago, renowned for its commitment to organic and biodynamic practices. Founded in 1991, the winery follows a 100% estate policy, ensuring that all the grapes come from its four vineyard properties, each meticulously managed with sustainability at the forefront. Led by winemaker Blair Walter, viticulturist Gareth King, and proprietor Nigel Greening, Felton Road’s approach to winemaking is rooted in a philosophy of minimal intervention. The winery employs gravity flow, wild yeasts, and avoids fining and filtration, allowing the true character of the fruit and terroir to shine through in every bottle. Felton Road’s dedication to preserving the natural environment through organic and biodynamic practices has made it a leader in the New Zealand wine industry.
