Fabien Coche, a fourth-generation vigneron, took over the management of his family's prestigious domaine in 2005, following in the footsteps of his well-known relatives. The Coche-Dury family, formerly part of the same estate until 1940 and now overseen by Fabien's cousin Raphael, holds a prominent position among Burgundy's esteemed families. Fabien has become a prominent figure in the wine industry, achieving notable success in the current generation. Showcasing his expertise and passion, Fabien's impressive collection of vineyards covers approximately 11 hectares, encompassing Meursault, Monthelie, Pommard and Auxey-Duresses.
Situated at an elevated position on the slope and basking in full southern exposure, this esteemed 1er cru vineyard showcases its exceptional terroir. Crafted with a 30% whole bunch fermentation in 2020, this wine exhibits a captivating array of rich and deep aromas, enhanced by the use of whole bunches during fermentation. The wine delights with a lovely floral lift, while also displaying remarkable freshness, depth and intensity. It is a truly noteworthy 1er cru, where only 20% new oak was employed, and it was carefully bottled in December 2021 to preserve its freshness and finesse.
