Dagueneau is a name that is whispered with hushed tones of reverence in wine circles. Long respected as the finest producer in the Loire Valley, this Domaine produces some of the most sought after wines in the world. Since the premature passing of Didier in 2008, his son Louis Benjamin has taken the reins, and if anything quality and interest level have soared. The tiny 2017 vintage (more than 70% of fruit was lost) is considered by Louis Benjamin to be his finest ever. Dagueneau elevate Sauvignon Blanc to a level of quality, complexity and interest that has to be tasted to be believed. One of the greatest wines you will ever drink. Loaded with flavour this wine is pulsing with chalky intensity and tension and will continue to improve over the next decade. Pur sang (a thoroughbred) indeed, only two bottles available.
