    Maison Ruinart

On September 1st 1729, in Reims, at the heart of the Champagne region, Nicolas Ruinart drafted the founding charter of Maison Ruinart, creating the world's first ever champagne-producing company. This gave rise to an enterprise that continues to flourish and to prosper nearly three hundred years later. The intuition of his uncle, the monk who had first shown him the way, had thus inspired an initiative that was to make history.

    Tasting notes

    NOSE
    Spicy Notes, Refreshing, Floral

The first nose reveal spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, which mingle with refreshing citrus aromas such as blood orange and kumquat. Second impressions are more floral, unveiling violet and peony complemented by fresh, iodised oyster shell notes.

    PALATE
    Red Fruits, Smooth, Intense

The attack is enveloping and silky with notes of tangy red fruits such as pomegranate and redcurrant. The mid-palate is smooth and saline. Firm and intense.

    FINISH
    Delicate Bitterness, Fine Effervescence

The finish of this exceptional champagne is long and persistent. The vibrant fruit flavors linger on the palate, leaving a lasting impression of power and finesse. A subtle hint of smokiness and toasty notes emerges, adding depth and complexity to the aftertaste.
