Presented only as a set, the Chichibu and Kanosuke whiskies offer collectors and enthusiasts a unique chance to experience two distinct visions of contemporary Japanese whisky.

      From Chichibu comes Cask #7535, drawn from an American white oak refill sherry hogshead and bottled at a commanding 64% ABV. With only 267 bottles available, it is a vivid expression of Chichibu’s house style, where sherry wood and bold spirit meet in perfect conversation. Partnering it is a Kanosuke single cask whisky, matured in bourbon oak and bottled at 60% ABV. Just 196 bottles exist, each reflecting the distillery’s hallmark coastal character and elegant, layered complexity.

      Strictly limited and ballot-only, this two-bottle release marks a defining moment in the story of Japanese whisky’s new generation—both distilleries representing the pinnacle of craftsmanship, patience, and creative vision.

      Kanosuke

      Kanosuke Distillery, established in 2017, has quickly become one of Japan’s most exciting whisky producers. Situated on the coastline of Kagoshima Prefecture, known for its stunning sunsets, Kanosuke’s location offers a unique maritime influence on the whisky maturation process. The distillery is a part of the Komasa Jyozo company, which has a long history of shochu production, and has since expanded to crafting exceptional single malt whiskies under the leadership of Yoshitsugu Komasa. Kanosuke’s distinctive approach includes the use of three different pot stills, each contributing its own character to the whisky. This innovation, combined with the distillery’s commitment to excellence, allows Kanosuke to create complex, yet approachable single malts that reflect the company’s dedication to craftsmanship.
