    Bollinger

Founded in 1829 by Aymé Bollinger, Champagne Bollinger has become synonymous with powerful, sophisticated Champagnes. For nearly two centuries, the House has remained fiercely independent and family-owned, ensuring a meticulous approach to quality that shines through in every bottle.

Bollinger's dedication to exceptional quality begins right in the vineyards. Unlike many Champagne producers, Bollinger owns a significant portion of their vineyards (around two-thirds), allowing them complete control over grape selection and viticulture practices. These vineyards are located in the heart of the prestigious Champagne region, specifically in the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne. Notably, over 85% of the grapes used in Special Cuvée Brut NV come from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, considered the pinnacle of quality in Champagne. These coveted sites boast exceptional terroir, characterised by chalky soils that impart minerality and finesse to the wines.

    Tasting notes

    NOSE
    Complex and Fruity

Opens with a burst of crisp yellow orchard fruits and candied citrus, layered with hints of frangipane and walnuts. Delicate white flowers and subtle iodine notes add further intrigue.

    PALATE
    Rich and Elegant

Medium to full-bodied with a luxurious, pillowy texture. An elegant core of fruit is complemented by racy acidity and a persistent, fine mousse. Toasty notes emerge alongside hints of honey, leading to a dry, chalky finish with a long and lingering aftertaste.

    FINISH
    Dry and Mineral

Persists with a lingering minerality and a touch of toast, leaving a dry and elegant impression.
