The Casamigos tequila production process

In Jalisco, the Casamigos tequila journey starts with the hand-selection of the finest 100% Blue Weber agave, cultivated in the rich, clay soil characteristic of the region. These agave piñas are then slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens, a critical step in developing the distinctive flavour profile of their tequila. This methodical approach to roasting, along with a careful, slow fermentation process, ensures that each bottle captures the essence of its premium agave source.

The Casamigos Mezcal production process

In Oaxaca, the production of Casamigos Mezcal showcases the art of mezcal-making. The finest 100% Espadín agaves are chosen for their quality and flavour. Following artisanal methods, the harvested piñas are split and laid to cook for 4 to 6 days in earthen pits lined with volcanic or river rock. This slow roasting imparts a smoky flavour while ensuring the agave is evenly cooked without caramelisation.

After cooling for 24 hours, the agave is crushed using a traditional Tahona wheel, paying homage to the heritage of mezcal and contributing to its unique texture and taste. Fermentation times range from 6 to 8 days, influenced by seasonal variations, before the mezcal undergoes a double distillation in covered copper pot stills.

Casamigos Blanco

Casamigos Blanco offers a crisp and refreshing experience, marked by a blend of citrus and vanilla notes, complemented by the sweetness of agave. Its smooth finish makes it a versatile choice for sipping neat or as the base for premium cocktails.

Casamigos Reposado
