Longtime friends George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman share a deep love for Casamigos, a spirit that has become synonymous with their cherished moments of friendship and celebration. Whether sipping it on the rocks, taking shots or even enjoying it straight from the bottle, Casamigos Tequila and Mezcal have become an integral part of their tequila-filled nights spent with friends. It is from these unforgettable experiences that the idea of Casamigos was born—a vision to create the best-tasting, smoothest Tequila and Mezcal that didn't require the addition of salt or lime to mask any imperfections. The journey to perfecting Casamigos was a labour of love, as George, Rande and Mike dedicated themselves to the creation of this exceptional spirit in Jalisco, Mexico. Years were spent refining their craft, conducting countless blind tastings until they knew they had achieved perfection. Initially, Casamigos was never intended to be released to the public; it was a tequila and mezcal reserved solely for their personal enjoyment. In fact, it has become a staple in their homes in Mexico, affectionately known as their "house tequila." However, to their delight, Casamigos has captured the hearts of consumers. Its authenticity and unparalleled quality have garnered immense appreciation and admiration.

The tequila-making process behind Casamigos is a testament to the commitment to excellence. Situated in Jalisco, Mexico, the team hand-selects only the finest 100% Blue Weber agaves, ensuring that each sip is a testament to the spirit's quality. The agave piñas are meticulously roasted in traditional brick ovens, allowing for a slow and precise process that imparts a distinct flavour profile. On the other hand, Casamigos Mezcal is a testament to the artistry and tradition of Oaxaca, Mexico. The team carefully hand-selects the finest 100% Espadín agaves, ensuring that the integrity of the spirit remains uncompromised. The piñas, once harvested, are split and laid to cook for 4-6 days in earthen pits lined with volcanic or river rock. This slow-roasting process allows for even cooking without caramelization, resulting in a mezcal that is rich in flavour and authenticity. Following the roasting process, the piñas are cooled for 24 hours, allowing the flavors to harmonize. The crushing process begins, utilizing a Tahona wheel to extract the essence of the agave. Depending on the season, Casamigos Mezcal then undergoes a delicate fermentation process that spans 6-8 days before it is distilled in covered copper pot stills. The result is a mezcal that embodies the spirit of Oaxaca, capturing the essence of its rich heritage.

Mezcal is a spirit made from the agave plant, native to central Mexico. It is similar to tequila, as it is also produced from the blue agave plant, but it has distinct differences. Mezcal is typically produced in Oaxaca and undergoes a unique production process. The agave piñas are buried in pits with hot rocks and smoked, giving mezcal a smoky and earthy flavour profile. Mezcal can be made from various agave varieties, resulting in a diverse range of flavour profiles. It is known for its complexity and is often enjoyed in cocktails or sipped neat.

Casamigos Mezcal 700ml takes you on a remarkable journey through the vibrant world of mezcal, crafted with utmost care and respect for tradition. Made exclusively from 100% Espadin agaves, grown in the pristine region of Oaxaca, Mexico, this mezcal embodies the rich heritage and artistry of its origin. The production process of Casamigos Mezcal begins with slow cooking, following the age-old artisanal method. The harvested agave piñas are split and laid to cook for 4-6 days in earthen pits lined with volcanic or river rock. This slow cooking process allows the flavors to develop and intensify, creating a mezcal that is truly exceptional. Once cooled for 24 hours, the agave piñas undergo the crushing process, where a traditional Tahona wheel is utilized. This ancient technique crushes the agave, extracting its precious juices and releasing the essence that will define the mezcal's character. After crushing, the agave undergoes fermentation, a process that can take 6-8 days depending on the season. This patient fermentation period allows the flavors to mature and harmonize, setting the stage for the distillation process. Casamigos Mezcal is distilled in covered copper pot stills, a method that ensures the preservation of the mezcal's rich flavors and aromas. The mezcal is distilled twice, a testament to the brand's commitment to excellence and the pursuit of perfection. As you pour yourself a glass of Casamigos Mezcal, its crystal-clear colour captivates the eye, inviting you to experience its mesmerizing aromas. Fragrant herbal and fruit notes intertwine with hints of smoke creating an olfactory experience that is both inviting and intriguing. Casamigos Mezcal is a mezcal with deep flavors and complexity. It has notes of smoke and black pepper that create a lingering silky finish. Each sip reflects the skill and knowledge of the 4th generation Mezcaleros who make it in Oaxaca, a region known for its mezcal tradition.
