Belvedere and the Tradition of Polish Vodka

Polish Rye at the Heart of Belvedere
Rye is fundamental to the Belvedere house style. The signature vodka is made using organically farmed Polish rye and purified water, without additives, creating a spirit with distinctive texture and flavour.
Rather than being entirely neutral, Belvedere retains subtle characteristics derived from rye. The house style combines a soft, rounded texture with gentle sweetness, white pepper, almond and delicate savoury notes, followed by a clean finish.
This focus on rye has also allowed Belvedere to explore how variety, provenance and production techniques can influence vodka, particularly through releases such as Heritage 176 and the former Single Estate Rye series.
Heritage 176 and the Exploration of Rye
Belvedere Heritage 176 takes inspiration from traditional Polish vodka-making techniques and explores the influence of malted rye. A portion of malted rye spirit is blended with Belvedere's signature vodka, adding another dimension to its familiar rye character.
The malting process encourages greater depth and aromatic intensity, resulting in notes of honey, walnut and allspice alongside the underlying freshness of the vodka. Heritage 176 provides a distinctive alternative for those interested in vodka with a more pronounced grain character.
Previous releases such as Smogóry Forest and Lake Bartężek also explored the relationship between rye and place, using grain grown on individual estates in contrasting regions of Poland. These discontinued expressions remain an interesting part of Belvedere's exploration of terroir in vodka.
Belvedere 10: The Prestige Expression
Belvedere 10 sits at the pinnacle of the Belvedere collection. Inspired by the process used when the distillery was established in 1910, it is made from a single harvest of organic Diamond rye grown on a single estate in north-east Poland.
The production process is deliberately exacting, with the spirit rested before bottling to allow its character to integrate. Richer and more concentrated than the signature expression, Belvedere 10 displays layers of coconut, cacao and vanilla alongside fresh lemon and a smooth, creamy texture.
Its sculptural ten-level bottle reflects its position as Belvedere's prestige vodka and makes it one of the most distinctive expressions within the range.
Belvedere Formats and Limited Editions
Alongside its core vodka expressions, Belvedere has produced numerous special presentations and limited-edition bottles. The Kent Street Cellars collection includes releases such as the Chrome Edition and gift presentations, alongside selected discontinued and collectible editions.
