Domaine Moreau-Naudet has established a reputation as one of Chablis' most compelling growers, producing Chardonnay that combines generosity, texture and remarkable mineral precision.
The domaine's distinctive approach was shaped by the late Stéphane Moreau, who revived traditional vineyard and cellar practices to create wines with greater depth and individuality. Following his passing in 2016, Virginie Moreau continued his work, maintaining the philosophy that has made the estate so highly regarded.
Hand-harvested fruit, low yields, natural fermentations and extended maturation on lees are central to the Moreau-Naudet style. The result is Chablis with substance as well as freshness, balancing ripe fruit and layered texture with the region's characteristic mineral tension.
Chablis & Les Pargues Vieilles Vignes
The domaine's Petit Chablis and village Chablis offer an introduction to its approach, with carefully tended vineyards and unusually extended lees ageing contributing depth and complexity.
Les Pargues Vieilles Vignes is a particularly distinctive wine within the range. Sourced from vines planted in 1947, the vineyard occupies a ridge between the Montmains and Vosgros Premier Cru sites.
Although classified as village Chablis, Les Pargues is recognised for its concentration, mineral character and old-vine intensity.
