Precise, textural Champagne from a benchmark biodynamic grower. This magnum release of Latitude is drawn entirely from Chardonnay grown on the southern side of Vertus in the Côte des Blancs. These parcels, all aligned on a similar latitude, are known for producing fruit with added breadth and richness thanks to their higher clay content. The base of this bottling is the 2018 vintage, with 40 percent reserve wine drawn from a perpetual cuvée begun in 2004.
Fermented with indigenous yeasts in large Stockinger casks and aged on lees for more than two years, the wine was manually disgorged in May 2023 and finished with four grams per litre dosage. The result is layered and mineral, with citrus, white peach and crushed chalk driving a Champagne that balances tension with texture.
