      Bruichladdich 11.1 edition of their Octomore Single Malt range is powerful, super heavily peated, understated and vibrate. This Islay Scotch Whisky has a delicate balance of sweet vanilla and smoke from ex-American oak casks and spent just 5 years in contact with fresh first fill wood. There is a huge presence of peat across the palate but is balanced with clean floral and fruit notes.

      As with all Octomore expressions, the fundamentals of distillation are important here. The fermentation is allowed to run its course, the distillation is slow and considered. Small parcels of fresh casks are filled, selected then blended with quality no quantity in mind. - Adam Hannett, Head Distiller
