Located in the heart of Western Australia’s renowned Margaret River wine region, the Pierro locality, owned and managed by Dr Mike Peterkin, has a viticultural pedigree second to none. Besides making award-winning Chardonnay of distinctive character, Mike also produced the first Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend in Australia. The Pierro reds are now among the very best in the region.

Pierro LTCF Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot is smooth, silky soft and attractive. An easy drinking medium bodied red wine with elegant flavours of blackberry, cassis mulberry & plum. Best served with red meat dishes such as lamb and duck or alternatively rich pasta dishes with good friends.

Attractive as much as approachable for drinking now thanks to soft, fine tannins and a light spray of acidity across its less-than-medium-bodied palate. Delicately spiced, with fruit in the red spectrum, a dusting of pepper and licorice. Ready to be cracked open today. - Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion, 93 Points.

Deep ruby with a light purple edge. The nose has orchard smells of red plum fruit and leafy branches with little apparent oak. It's medium-bodied and supple in the mouth, made for easy drinking as a young wine with a soft background of gentle tannins. - Ralph Kyte-Powell, The Real Review.
