      Kahlua Coffee Liqueur is a Mexican sugarcane based spirit that was created in 1936. Four friends in Veracruz, Mexico came together and put their minds to create one of the most iconic spirits. The world Kahlua came from the Arabic language, allegedly the word was used as slang for coffee. Four short years later, it made its arrival in the United States, where it took off as a key ingredient in the Black Russian cocktail.
