Magnum 1.5L and perfect for celebrations. Made entirely from Grand Cru Chardonnay, Delamotte Blanc de Blancs exhibits absolute purity, with the vinification process taking place in stainless steel tanks. Blanc de Blancs is a particularly mineral champagne, its nervy chalky sensation achieved in part due to a modest addition of reserve wine (10% maximum). The minerality is the very essence of their vineyard and its Chardonnays that grow on pure chalk soil. Certainly, the wines appear a little austere in its youth, which is why maturation on the lees extends far longer than the statutory fifteen months, and more than the others in the range. Delamotte Blanc de Blancs age on lees enjoys a staggering four or five years before disgorgement. Ageing after disgorgement continues to perfect the finesse and elegance of this cuvée.

    Trusted by the professionals

Light bright yellow hue with a steely, almost metallic aroma, dusty straw and grass-hay, with earthy/stony overtones. The palate is delicate and dry, crisp and lively, linear and slightly singular (but that's not unusual in blanc de blancs). A refined, delicate style that tapers a bit towards the finish and is well suited to oysters and other raw seafoods.

    — Huon Hooke, The Real Review

Brighter, zippier and more explosive than previous releases, the NV Brut Blanc de Blancs is immediately impressive with bright citrus tones that erupt from the glass. Medium-bodied, the palate shows immaculate precision and finesse, with succulent layers of citrus, green apples and lemon skin. A soft, nutty essence then appears from its 45 months on the lees. The wine continues to make me salivate, bringing me back for more and has me craving freshly shucked oysters and cheeses.

    — Wine Advocate

Croissants, toasted sourdough, white pears, acacia and lemon meringue pie. Salty almond notes on the palate. Deliciously saline and creamy, with silky bubbles and a gently toasty finish.

    — James Suckling
