      Released in 2014, Glenfiddich Rare Oak 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky was matured in European sherry butts and American bourbon barrels. The sherry butts give this whisky richer, deeper fruit flavours and the bourbon barrels add hints of spice and soft vanilla. 

      The nose has hints of blackberry, green apple drenched with butter and caramel, lacquered oak and well-aged rum. The palate is of sultanas and raisins, hot mulled white, Honey-Nut Cornflakes, and gingerbread cookies. The finish has hints of citrus, nutmeg, and oily pine.
