Akkeshi Blended Japanese Whisky 2021 Release 200ml (2 Bottle Set)

Akkeshi began distilling in 2016, based in the Akkeshi District of Hokkaido, the concept of distilling and maturing single malt in Japan’s northern wilderness traces back to the very first plans of Masataka Taketsuru, a pioneer of the country’s early whisky production.

Now into their sixth year of whisky making this release is celebrating the clear nature of the town of Akkeshi, Oborogawa is the river that flows into lake Akkeshi before being  embraced by the sea, the Akkeshi malt and grain used to create this whisky are grown on the surrounding hills of Akkeshi.

Akkeshi X New Chitose Airport Blended Whisky 2021
This whisky was released for sale exclusively at the New Chitose airport. Created at Hokkaido’s Akkeshi Distillery using home-grown malt and imported grain whisky, both of which were matured in their entirety at Akkeshi.
