Elements of Islay Peat Full Proof Cask Strength Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 500ml

The first release from Elixir Distillers, Peat, was produced using whiskies from the Scottish island of Islay. A perfect expression of a smokey whisky with all the coastal characteristics one would except from an Islay whisky. This full proof whisky is perfect for those classic whisky cocktails demanding full flavours. 

Across the nose you get aromas of fresh, sprightly barley blended with peat smoke and bonfire embers. Refreshing scents of seashells and salty seaweed. A warm and leathery palate with thick-cut bacon, roasted fruit, and seashore campfires. Layers of dark-chocolate limes and smoke are blended with softer lemon oil and barbecue sauce. Baked apple and sea spray fade through the finish leaving truffle salt, heavier smoke, and sweet spice.
