The wine combines 65% Shiraz from selected parcels on Tyrrell’s Ashmans estate in the Hunter Valley with 35% Cabernet Sauvignon from an old-vine, premium McLaren Vale vineyard. The warm 2024 season produced particularly concentrated fruit, giving the wine a deeper and more generous expression than lighter vintages. Shiraz contributes ripe red and blue fruit, suppleness and spice, while the Cabernet adds darker fruit, herbal detail and firmer structural tannin.
