Produced from a dedicated Riesling vineyard, it takes its name from the distinctive “cordon cut” method used to concentrate the fruit naturally on the vine. Late in the growing season, the fruiting canes are cut while the grapes remain hanging, allowing the berries to gradually dehydrate and intensify in flavour and sweetness. The technique is highly dependent on suitable weather and careful judgement, making every vintage a particularly demanding wine to produce. Only 100 cases of the 2026 release were made available, underlining the limited nature of this bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2026 vintage is highly aromatic, combining ripe stone fruit and candied pineapple with lifted floral characters. Its concentrated sweetness is balanced by vibrant natural acidity, preventing the wine from becoming heavy or cloying. Citrus blossom, honey and ripe fruit build through the palate, while the concentrated texture gives the wine considerable depth and persistence. The estate farms with certified organic and biodynamic practices, and the wine is also identified by Mount Horrocks as vegan friendly.
