Warm summer days were moderated by cooling afternoon breezes, preserving aromatics and acidity. Slightly lower yields contributed concentrated fruit with purity and complexity. These conditions underpin the wine’s balance of generosity and freshness. Its citrus character gives definition to the softer orchard-fruit flavours. The result is an inviting expression of Margaret River Chardonnay with both texture and finesse.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGin Gin clone fruit was cool crushed, with selected parcels receiving skin contact in the press. Settled juice fermented in French oak barriques, 35% new and the remainder one year old. Regular lees stirring developed texture and integration during ten months of barrel maturation. The parcels were then blended, lightly fined, stabilised and bottled, producing an approachable Chardonnay with freshness and balance. Grapefruit and lemon aromas are complemented by chamomile, jasmine and almond meal. Lime curd, green peach and apple shape the palate, while toast and cashew add gentle savoury detail.
