Gerard Duplessis Chablis
Though the wines are bottled after a second winter, they are often not released until the Duplessis team feel that they are ready to start being drunk. Their wines do show both the hallmarks of classical Chablis and good differentiation between vineyards. They are classical, tightly knit, mineral examples of Chablis. The domaine is entirely within the Chablis and Petit Chablis AOCs and is planted solely to Chardonnay.
Sourced from three parcels Duplessis own directly next to the 1er Cru Vaillons. Ferment in steel then aged for a minimum of 12 months before bottling.
Beautiful classic Chablis with clean acid and ripe fruit character. Shows the classic Chablis saline backbone?and excellent length. Delicious.
