The vines are approximately 45 years old and are planted on a steep site with predominantly limestone soils and a small proportion of clay. The warm 2023 growing season produced generously ripe fruit while retaining freshness and balance. In the glass, the wine shows the darker-fruited character associated with Pommard, particularly blackcurrant, together with subtle liquorice and spice. Its firm youthful structure gives it the concentration and definition expected of Premier Cru Pommard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollowing harvest and careful sorting, the wine is matured in oak barrels, approximately 30–35% of which are new, for around 14 to 18 months. Malolactic fermentation takes place during élevage before the wine is assembled in tank roughly one month prior to bottling. Bottling follows the lunar calendar, without fining and with only very light filtration, reflecting the domaine's restrained approach in the cellar. The palate combines clearly defined acidity with firm young tannins, giving the wine both energy and considerable potential for further development.
