Its vines grow principally on clay-limestone and sandy soils over the region's characteristic tuffeau limestone, which contributes freshness, definition and mineral tension. The warm 2020 season produced generous ripeness, yet the wine retains the poised structure and natural acidity associated with the estate. Ripe raspberry, black cherry and cassis are joined by violet, pepper, graphite and subtle smoky notes, giving the wine both immediate aromatic appeal and considerable depth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted and fully destemmed before fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open concrete vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrel, followed by approximately 18 to 24 months of élevage in seasoned barrels rather than heavily marked new oak.
