The vines were planted in 1933 by Guy Moreau, Christian Moreau’s father, making them the oldest vines at the Domaine. Located on the left bank of the Serein with south and south-east exposure, the vineyard is rooted in Kimmeridgian clay-limestone marl rich in fossilised Exogyra virgula oyster shells. The difficult 2024 season drastically reduced production, with only around 4.4 hectolitres per hectare harvested from this parcel. Approximately 600 bottles were ultimately produced, making this one of the Domaine’s most limited releases of the vintage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThe tiny 2024 crop required a very different élevage from the Domaine’s usual approach to Cuvée Guy Moreau. The wine spent eight months in a glass WineGlobe before being transferred into two used barrels ahead of bottling, a method that helped preserve clarity and mineral definition while adding texture. Aromatically, the wine shows citrus, lime, orange pith and subtle nutty notes, with the old vines contributing additional depth and intensity. The palate is lively and focused, combining fine acidity with saline tension, light spice and a fluid, finely structured texture.
